An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing acceptance of a sculpture donated by Stanley Boyd Spotts for placement in Hartwood Acres Park

                     WHEREAS, the sculptor Stanley Boyd Spotts has offered to donate to the County a steel sculpture for placement in a Hartwood Acres park; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Article IV, Sections 2.j. of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests the County’s Council with the power to accept donations of personal property on behalf of the County.

 

The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Incorporation of Preamble.

 

                     The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by

reference in their entirety herein.

 

 

Section 2.  Acceptance of Sculpture

 

                     County Council does hereby authorize the acceptance of the a steel sculpture donated by Stanley Boyd Spotts and Steel Curtain Studios.  The appropriate County officers and officials are authorized to take such action as is necessary to carry out the purposes of the authorization granted herein.

 

 

 

 

 

SECTION                                          If any provision of this Ordinance shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Ordinance which shall be in full force and effect.

 

SECTION                                          Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
