Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to Mrs. Beatrice Dykes for receiving the Hats Off to Mom Award from Sisters Place, Inc. At the Morningstar Baptist Church, Beatrice serves as the church mother: a highly respected role that benefits the Clairton and church community. Her unyielding care was shown in her long-term commitment to the Clairton Meals on Wheels Program, which she helped to establish. . Her service has undoubtedly impacted the Clairton community, and we hope others in the County will mirror Beatrice's efforts to better our neighborhoods.
Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to Ms. Marie Tortorice for receiving the Hats Off to Mom Award from Sisters Place, Inc. Although the award is given posthumously, Marie's fine examples of her community service and her dedication to her family are honored by Sisters Place and, now, by us. Her unyielding care was shown in her activity in the Clairton community and St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, where she was president of the Women's Guild and active in the Home Bound Ministry. Her memory will undoubtedly live on in her family and the lives that she touched. We honor Marie's life and wish the best to her family.
Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to Nakia Reddick for receiving the Hats Off to Mom Award from Sisters Place, Inc. Nakia and her family have been residents of Sisters Place since 2001. Since then, Nakia has focused her efforts to better her personal and family life. In conjunction with these endeavors, she has recently finished classes to become a nursing assistant - a position that we commend because she will be helping those in need. Nakia's dedication to improving herself and her family is to be commended. We honor her for her determination to become a great mother, and we acknowledge all of her hard work that she as accomplished to achieve her goals.
Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to Ms. Paulette Bradford for receiving the Hats Off to Mom Award from Sisters Place, Inc. Paulette has been active in her community throughout most of her life, fighting for civil and union rights while being employed as an electrician and as a wireman. This activity spilled into her community, and she is in her tenth year as the school director at Clairton Education Center. Paulette has also been involved with the Clairton Branch of the NAACP and various other community organizations that are focused on bettering the area. Her service has undoubtedly impacted the Clairton community, and we hope others in the County will mirror Paulette's efforts to better our neighborhoods.
