SUMMARY

Property Sale, Vacant Land

Five (5) vacant lots sold as one parcel:
Block & Lot 273-P-288, Block & lot 273-P-289, Block & Lot 273-P-291, Block & Lot 273-P-292, and Block & Lot 273-P-293
Royal Avenue - Robinson Township

The subject property is owned by the three taxing bodies: County of Allegheny, Montour School District and Robinson Township. The three taxing bodies acquired an interest in the property by Sheriff's Deed in 1984. The County Law Department ordered an independent appraisal in 2002. The appraisal stated that the subject neighborhood is riverfront property near a boating storage service, and that parcels are small, situated along railroad tracks and a railroad crossing. Public Works has determined that the property has no apparent present or future use to the County. The three taxing bodies approved the public sale of the parcels at the minimum bid price of $5,000. The successful bidder, William Fadeley, bid $6,100.
