Proclamations honoring Leonard Brennan and Earl Hendricks of Verona Borough Council for their dedicated service to the community.

WHEREAS, communities are truly blessed to have leaders that are charitable and selfless, and utilize their serviceable leadership abilities to work towards the betterment of the community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Leonard Brennan fully embodies a great citizen who turned his gift of guidance to the community of Verona; he has served successfully on the Verona Council and as Mayor of Verona for nearly 30 years, and as a member of the Allegheny Council of Governments for 12 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brennan has worked tirelessly as an advocate for important issues that will better the Verona community; his expertise has brought much improvement to the community, and we are grateful for his invaluable contributions; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brennan has dutifully served the community in a most exemplary, positive, generous and high-spirited manner that fully encompasses the goodness and beneficial guidance of a great elected representative; Mr. Brennan certainly has been essential to the betterment of the Verona;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, thanks Mr. Leonard Brennan for his dedication and determination to providing his indelible services to Verona. His status as a gentleman, leader, educator and good neighbor is truly inspirational; he is a great public servant and a role model for all to follow. We thank Mr. Brennan for his years of service to the Borough of Verona, for he confers honor to the community and to our County as a whole.

WHEREAS, Mr. Earl Hendricks fully embodies a great citizen who turned his gift of guidance to the community of Verona; he has served a successful 12-year tenure on the Verona Council and is well-respected and valued by the citizens of Verona; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hendricks has worked tirelessly as an advocate for important issues that will better the Verona community; his expertise in parks and recreation and public safety have brought much improvement to the community, and we are grateful for his invaluable contributions; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hendricks was elected to the Verona Council in 1997 and has dutifully served the community in a most exemplary, positive, generous and high-spirited manner that fully encompasses the goodness and beneficial guidance of a great elected representative, Mr. Hendricks certainly has been essential to the betterment of Verona;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, thanks Mr. Earl Hendricks for his dedication and determination to providing his indelible services to Verona.
