Title
A Resolution of the County of Allegheny approving certain Inter-Departmental Transfers in the Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008.
Body
Whereas, the County Council has adopted an Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008; and
Whereas, the Home Rule Charter of Allegheny County, at Article VII, Section 9, provides that County Council may make transfers within and between departments and agencies upon the recommendation of the Chief Executive; and
Whereas, the Chief Executive has recommended that certain transfers be made between departments and agencies for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008; and
Whereas, County Council desires to make those transfers that the Chief Executive recommends between departments and agencies for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1. Incorporation of Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Resolution are incorporated by reference in their entirety herein.
Section 2. Approval of Transfer Between Departments and Agencies.
The following transfer in the amount of $3,094,560 is hereby approved to release the contingency set up for the Port Authority of Allegheny County:
74. Transfer $3,094,560 from Non-Department Expenses, Port Authority Contingency to Miscellaneous Agencies, Port Authority. Transfer FROM 460201.86101 TO 492512.64402.
Section 3. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Resolution which shall be in full force and effect.
Section 4. Repealer. Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
SUMMARY OF LEGISLATION
The attached proposed legislation will approve an interdepartmental transfer:
Transfer number 74 in the amount of $3,094,560. The purpose of this transfer is to release the appropriation set up as a contingency for the Port Authority to the Port Authority.
