Proclamation recognizing Brentwood EMS Volunteers Debbie Balkovec, Lil Moskala, and Diane Cook for their 25 years of service.

WHEREAS, on December 1, 2007, three volunteers with Brentwood Emergency Medical Services will be honored for their 25 years of service at the Brentwood EMS 30th Anniversary Dinner, to be held at Salvatore's of Little Giant World of Catering; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Debbie Balkovec, a certified Emergency Medical Technician, began her service with the Brentwood EMS on July 1, 1982. Her interest in Emergency Medicine stemmed from the experiences of family members who belonged to the organization and her desire to assist the service by becoming a driver; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Balkovec has held various offices with Brentwood EMS, including those of President and Treasurer, and currently holds the office of Vice-President; and
WHEREAS, her involvement with numerous committees, including Ways and Means, Christmas Parties, Anniversary, Training, Renovation, Bylaws, Picnic, and Kitchen has further made Ms. Balkovec an invaluable member of the Brentwood EMS family;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby recognizes and congratulates Ms. Debbie Balkovec on the 25th anniversary of her service with the Brentwood EMS. This Council commends Ms. Balkovec for her dedication and commitment to leadership and excellence which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Ms. Diane Cook, a certified Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, and CPR and First Aid Instructor, began her service with the Brentwood EMS on September 12, 1982. Ms. Cook knew from a young age that she wanted to dedicate her time to Brentwood EMS, and prior to becoming a member when she turned 18, Ms. Cook obtained her EMT certification; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Cook has held the offices of Secretary and Operations Office and serves as the current Assistant Director of the organization; and
WHEREAS, she has given her time to the Ways and Means, Public Relations, Christmas, and Anniversary Committees and presently represents Brentwood EMS on the Board of Directors for the Brentwood Business Owners Association;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby recognizes and congratulates Ms. Diane Cook on the 25th anniversary of her service with the Brentwood EMS. This Council commends Ms. Cook for her dedication and commitment to leadership and excellence which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Ms. Lil Moskala, a certified Emergency Medical Technician, began her service with the Brentwood EMS on August 1, 1982. Her interest in Emergency Medicine was peaked after attending a 4th of July parade, where she discovered that Brentwood EMS was in need of volunteers; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Moskala has held the offices of Vice-President, Seargent of Arms and Chaplain, and is currently an Associate Member of the Organization; and
WHEREAS, throughout her tenure with Brentwood EMS, Ms. Moskala has also donated her time to the Bylaws, Subscription, Ways and Means, Christmas Party, Anniversary and Picnic committees;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby recognizes and congratulates Ms. Lil Moskala on the 25th anniversary of her service with the Brentwood EMS. This Council commends Ms. Moskala for her dedication and commitment to leadership and excellence which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
