A Resolution of the County of Allegheny rescinding resolution number 12 adopted on September 5, 2000 authorizing the operation and maintenance of Regional Booking Centers in Allegheny County

WHEREAS, County Council enacted Resolution Number 12 on September 5, 2000 authorizing the operation and maintenance of Regional Booking Centers in Allegheny County in fiscal year 2000 and 2001; and
WHEREAS, grants and other revenues that were anticipated to fund Regional Booking Centers are not available; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Booking Centers concept is a matter that is under study by the Criminal Justice Policy Board; and
WHEREAS, County Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the County that Resolution Number 12 be rescinded effective immediately.
Be it resolved by the Council of Allegheny County as follows:
Section 1.
Effective immediately, County Council of Allegheny County hereby rescinds Resolution Number 12 enacted by Council on September 5, 2000 which authorized the operation and maintenance of Regional Booking Centers in Allegheny County.
Section 2. If any provision of this Resolution shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Resolution which shall be in full force and effect.
Section 3. If any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
