Proclamation honoring Mr. Joe Scarillo for his 10 years of service to Bethel Park's youth sports programs.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is privileged to have citizens who serve the community by dedicating their efforts to bettering the lives of our county's youth; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Joe Scarillo has served the Bethel Park Junior Football Program for the past 10 years and has coached youth football and baseball teams of the area for nearly three decades; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Scarillo has been the driving force behind the growth of the Bethel Park Junior Football Program; he has welcomed new families to the program and has encouraged the participants to enrich the community by assisting with fundraising and social events; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Scarillo has served the football program as assistant coach, head coach, commissioner, field coordinator, youth camp director, league treasurer, and league president, and he has been instrumental in leading Bethel Park recreational community projects, lending his expertise and guidance to the efforts to improve the area; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Scarillo has worked tirelessly to support the youth sporting programs of Bethel Park, and because of his ventures, he has helped young adults realize their potential and has improved the quality of life in Bethel Park;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, commends Mr. Joe Scarillo for his years of service to the youth of our county. We thank him for his unending dedication to improving the sporting programs of Bethel Park and for dutifully serving the citizens of our community.
