Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing Allegheny County Council to conduct a public hearing, to afford interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Council Bill No.1731-04, a Resolution of the County of Allegheny establishing the contribution rate for the Allegheny County 9-1-1 System. Pursuant to Council's Rules, the Council President shall appoint a Presiding Officer for the hearing.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,

 

That the Council of Allegheny County is hereby authorized to conduct a public hearing, to afford interested parties an opportunity to express their views on proposed Council Bill No. 1731-04, a Resolution of the County of Allegheny establishing the contribution rate for the Allegheny County 9-1-1- System. Pursuant to Council's Rules, the Council President shall appoint a Presiding Officer for the hearing.

 

 

Individuals wishing to speak must register in advance in accordance with the rules governing public comment at Council meetings.

 

The hearing shall be scheduled to occur on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 6:00 pm in the 4th Floor Gold Room of the Allegheny County Court House, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219. The Chief Clerk is authorized and directed to advertise the same. 

 

In accordance with Council's Rules, the following members of Council are committed to attending the hearing:  Council Member Chuck Martoni, Council Member John DeFazio, Council Member Dave Fawcett, Council Member Jay Jabbour, Council Member Tom Shumaker and Council Member Wayne Fontana. It shall be at the discretion of the President to take appropriate steps to provide for security for the public hearing and to determine if transcription of the testimony given is appropriate.
