Proclamations honoring the 2014 Mooseheart Community Spirit Award winners for dedicating their lives to serving seniors and youth.

WHEREAS, it is the duty of Allegheny County Council to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and organizations in both the County and across the nation for their extraordinary achievements; and
 
WHEREAS, the Mooseheart Community Spirit Awards were founded by Mr. Joseph Wall in 2006 as a project of the Highland Moose Lodge 2699. Since then, the Awards have aimed to recognize the achievements of those in our communities that have dedicated their lives to the betterment of youth and senior populations in our region; and
 
WHEREAS, all proceeds from the monies raised with the Community Spirit Awards and the Mooseheart Invitational Softball Tournament are utilized to help fund both programs at Mooseheart and youth programs within Western Pennsylvania; and
 
WHEREAS, recipients of the 2014 Mooseheart Community Spirit Awards are: Mike Gottfried, Bill Hillgrove, Betty Nesbit, David Shutter, Rohn Neugebauer, Dale Bracken, Denise Bosilovich, John Fedko and Larry and Mary Ann Klotz; and
 
WHEREAS, the 2014 awardees have demonstrated their dedication and commitment to serving the local community, and exemplified civic leadership and responsibility, and we are glad to count these individuals among the residents of our great county;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, does hereby congratulate the 2014 Mooseheart Community Spirit Award winners, and we commend their honorable service to the people of Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania.
