Proclamation thanking student interns Ms. Caroline Burnham and Mr. Shane Murphy for their service to Allegheny County Council.

Body...

WHEREAS, since its inception, Allegheny County Council has been fortunate in its ability to offer internships which provide students with a high quality educational learning experience in local government; and

WHEREAS, a North Allegheny Senior High School graduate and student studying Economics at The Pennsylvania State University main campus, Ms. Caroline Burnham has provided support to the members of Council throughout the summer of 2014; and

WHEREAS, through her enthusiastic willingness to assist members and staff, Ms. Burnham has demonstrated an exemplary work ethic, exceptional communication skills, teamwork and professionalism; and

WHEREAS, this fall, Ms. Burnham will spend a semester abroad at the University of Westminster, located in London, United Kindgdom;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby salute the achievement, scholarship, and dedication of Ms. Caroline Burnham for her outstanding service to the Office of Allegheny County Council. FURTHERMORE, this Council wishes Ms. Burnham the best of luck in London and in all of her future endeavors.

WHEREAS, through his enthusiastic willingness to assist members and staff, Mr. Murphy has demonstrated an exemplary work ethic, exceptional communication skills, teamwork and professionalism; and
