Motion of the Council of Allegheny County pulling Bill No. 3677-08, establishing an annual Roberto Clemente Day in Allegheny County, from committee for an immediate final vote.
Body
WHEREAS, Bill No. 3677-08, establishing an annual Roberto Clemente Day in Allegheny County, was introduced and referred to the Committee on Government Reform on January 15, 2008, or 398 days prior to the introduction of this motion; and
WHEREAS, although Bill No. 3677-08 was discussed by the Committee on March 12 and April 29, 2008, it has not yet been released for a final vote by the full Council; and
WHEREAS, the Rules of Allegheny County Council, Article IV, Section B.1., allow for bills to be pulled from committee by the vote of a simple majority if such motion is made after sixty (60) days from the date of the first reading of the bill;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
That this Council hereby pulls Bill No. 3677-08 from the Committee on Government Reform and authorizes an immediate final vote on the bill.
