This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Patricia Thompson upon the momentous occasion of their 55th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were married on May 29, 1959 by the Rev. W.C. Eastridge in Montague Avenue Methodist Church in Winchester, Virginia. The couple has resided in Port Vue for more than 53 years. Thomas is an Army veteran, having served in Germany as a field artillery telephone lineman. He retired in 1990 from a radiological engineering position after more than 40 years of service at the Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory where the couple met. Before becoming a secretary at Bettis, Patricia was employed at the S & S Shoe Store and the Darling Shop in McKeesport. They are the proud parents of Diane and Thomas and the couple has five grandchildren, Carrie, Alicia, Amy, Kristen and Thomas, all of Port Vue. We are pleased to recognize the couple's impressive dedication to each other over so many years; only two people who are truly meant for one another can spend their lives together. We congratulate Thomas and Patricia on this great milestone and wish them much happiness in the future.
