Proclamation recognizing Curtis Neill for his years of service to Baldwin Emergency Medical Services.
Body
WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed to have leaders who commit themselves wholeheartedly to serving and representing our region with the utmost dedication and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, for several years, Curtis Neill has served as the Assistant Chief of Baldwin Emergency Medical Services; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Neill has been an invaluable resource for both Baldwin EMS and Allegheny County, always willing to provide extra assistance wherever and whenever it was needed; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Neill was instrumental in a number of initiatives, including the creation of a non-emergency clinic at Mercy Hospital, securing funding for a communications upgrade and for the expansion of Baldwin EMS, and acquiring and training local organizations on how to use the defibrillator in Mowry Park; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Neill also founded the “WE Care Program,” otherwise know n as the Wellness Before Emergencies Program, which educates local residents on health issues, existing medical conditions, and early detection techniques;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Allegheny County Council joins with Baldwin EMS in thanking Curtis Neill for his many years of service to our community. You have set a standard of excellence that serves as an inspiration to the members of this Council and to all the residents of Allegheny County.
