Allegheny County Council is proud to present this Certificate of Recognition to Ms. Toni S. Kendrick for her 36 years of dedicated service to the Pittsburgh Public School system. Ms. Kendrick received her undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania, her master's degree in education from the University of Pittsburgh, and her principal's certificate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Kendrick served the Pittsburgh Public School district as a teacher, Instructional Teacher Leader, counselor, certified conflict mediator, student service specialist, assistant principal and principal. She is a lifelong member of New Destiny C.M.E. Church, a member of the NAACP, a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority and an active member of the Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter. Throughout her 39 years of providing service through the AKA Sorority, she has held a variety of leadership roles in her chapter and at the Great Lakes Region level. Ms. Kendrick is the recipient of the following awards: 2009 Pan-Hellenic Council Outstanding Community Service Award, 2012 Mentor Memoirs Honoree, and 2014 Professional Woman of the Year presented by The Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, Inc. We hereby recognize and thank Ms. Kendrick for her 36 years of public service, and we wish her all the best upon her well-deserved retirement.
