Proclamation congratulating and honoring the firefighters of the Highland Volunteer Fire Department, the Ingomar Volunteer Fire Department, and the Peebles Volunteer Fire Department, as well as local rescue service personnel, for their dedicated public safety services to residents of the Town of McCandless and the surrounding communities.

WHEREAS, the hundreds of fire departments and rescue service providers located within Allegheny County have become mainstays of public safety and the protection of property within the County; and
WHEREAS, firefighters and rescue services personnel have repeatedly displayed exemplary bravery and professionalism in the face of extreme danger to themselves; and
WHEREAS, the firemen and rescue service personnel of Allegheny County, in the performance of their duty each and every day, have become symbols of dedication and heroism within the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town of McCandless is honoring the firemen and rescue service personnel that protect its residents with its annual Appreciation Dinner Banquet for Fire and Rescue Services tonight;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate and honor the firefighters of the Highland Volunteer Fire Department, the Ingomar Volunteer Fire Department, and the Peebles Volunteer Fire Department, as well as local rescue service personnel, for their dedicated public safety services to residents of the Town of McCandless and the surrounding communities. This commitment to the safety and well-being of the County's residents both inspires us and arouses our deepest gratitude. On the occasion of this Appreciation Dinner Banquet, we join with the Town of McCandless in commending the individuals both past and present who have dedicated their professional lives to their respective departments for their unflinching bravery and tremendous skill.
