This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Alex Mattoon in recognition of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. We commend you on the diligence and skill you displayed throughout your scouting service and on your growth through troop leadership positions, including Assistant Patrol Leader and Patrol Leader and also as the troop's historian and instructor. The 31 merit badges that you have received and your membership in the Order of the Arrow are remarkable testaments to your impressive accomplishments as a Boy Scout. This Council extends its deepest appreciation for your service to your community in which you spent a total of 193 hours working with your family and fellow Boy Scouts to construct and place four benches, a picnic table, a fire ring, and bat boxes at the John Klindworth Memorial Bocce Ball Courts at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. You have set a high standard of commitment and dedication which the youth of our great County of Allegheny may follow, and which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
