Proclamation recognizing Ray Englert for his 50 years of service with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66.

WHEREAS, the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a progressive, diversified trade union that primarily represents Operating Engineers, who work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics and surveyors in the construction industry, as well as a variety of other workers in the service and health industries; and
WHEREAS, on December 29, 2007, Mr. Roy Englert, a resident of Whitehall, will be honored for his 50 years of service with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Englert's love of operating heavy machinery was discovered while working with farming equipment; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Englert was instrumental on the construction and the demolition of Three Rivers Stadium, the first David Lawrence Convention Center and the Greater Pittsburgh Airport; and
WHEREAS, throughout his 50 years with the Union, Mr. Englert continually sought improvement through training opportunities, a testament to his exemplary effort to do the best job possible;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council wishes to congratulate Mr. Roy Englert upon the momentous occasion of his 50 years of service with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66. Your dedication to excellence in the engineering industry is admirable, and on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, we thank you for all of your hard work.
