Title

Certificate of Recognition honoring the fifth grade students at the Ellis School, who recently visited County Council as part of their Environmental Unit.

Body

The Ellis School

Environmental Unit

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to the 5th grade students in the Ellis Environmental Unit, a special interdisciplinary unit in which students join fictitious businesses and work together to examine environmental problems.  In an effort to bring this unit to life, students will visit a variety of organizations around Allegheny County to discover how these organizations operate.  The unit includes a visit to the Allegheny County Council, which will give the students a closer look at the day-to-day operations of a governmental organization.  Allegheny County Council hereby welcomes The Ellis School to the Allegheny County Courthouse and we wish you continued success throughout this unit as you learn valuable lessons in business, teamwork, and the environment.
