This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Gerrod Lee Travis in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. This Council commends Mr. Travis' diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Travis refurbished the baptism/basement area to benefit Bethany Church of God in Christ, located in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Because of Mr. Travis' leadership, the site is now a warm and welcoming one for church members and guests. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Travis has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
