Body

Allegheny County Council is honored to present this Certificate of Recognition to Mr. Randy Frankel for receiving the 2009 Ziggy Kahn Memorial Award from the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame of Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Frankel's outstanding character and his dedication to sport are just a few of the many qualities that he shares with the organization. Specifically, over the past 25 years, Mr. Frankel has shown devotion to the youth of the Squirrel Hill Community by building an unrivaled youth baseball system, which began with 170 players on eight teams and has grown to include nearly 2,500 players on 225 teams. His impressive dedication to the youth of our community and his ambitious spirit are to be commended. We honor his contributions to Allegheny County's long legacy of historic sports figures and hope he continues to work with the youth of our County.
