Proclamation commending the honorees at the Town of McCandless Fire and Rescue Service 10th Annual Appreciation Dinner Banquet.

WHEREAS, the Town of McCandless is fortunate to have three excellent fire companies staffed entirely by volunteer workers and firefighters; and
WHEREAS, on November 15, 2008 the Town of McCandless will recognize the cooperation between the Highland Volunteer Fire Department, the Ingomar Volunteer Fire Company and the Peebles District Volunteer Fire Company at the Fire & Rescue Services 10th Annual Appreciation Dinner Banquet; and
WHEREAS, these volunteers receive continuous education through state-certified instruction courses and train on state-of-the-art equipment; and
WHEREAS, at the McCandless Fire & Rescue Appreciation Dinner Banquet, friends, family and guests will join in celebration of the important work that these volunteers do every day;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby recognize and honor the volunteer fire and rescue workers from the Highland Volunteer Fire Department, the Ingomar Volunteer Fire Company and the Peebles District Volunteer Fire Company. We thank each for their contributions to the community, which serve as an inspiration to the residents of Allegheny County.
