Body
Riverview High School Key Club
This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the Riverview High School Key Club in recognition of earning the first place award for service projects at the Key Club International Convention in Boston, Massachusetts on July 7, 2006. The Riverview Club created a “mini lock-in” as a way to show students in grades four through six that fun can be had without the need for alcohol or drugs. The group developed an evening of activities and crafts in the high school gymnasium and 224 elementary school students took part in the lock-in. The Key Club, made up of 150 members, is active in the community, completing more than 6,000 hours of volunteer service during the last school year to various humanitarian and service projects. We commend the Riverview High School Key Club for setting a high standard of commitment and dedication, which the youth of our great County of Allegheny may follow, and which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
