Allegheny County Council is proud to present this Certificate of Recognition to the Vigilant Hose Company No. 1 in honor of your 100^th anniversary of serving the Port Vue area. Vigilant Hose Company is a volunteer firemen's organization dedicated to protecting the Port Vue area community from fire-related dangers.  Members of this organization are among our area's bravest citizens, for they are those willing to risk their own lives in order to protect the safety of residents they serve.  On behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, we wish to congratulate you on this important milestone and to thank you for your commitment to making Allegheny County a better place to live.
