Title: Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing Allegheny County Council to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to the Tax Increment Financing Act of July 11, 1990, P.L. 465 No. 113, to afford interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed amendments to the Tax Increment Financing Plan for the Deer Creek Crossing project in Harmar Township, Allegheny County. The purpose of the public hearing will be to allow for a presentation of the existing Deer Creek Crossing project, with proposed amendments by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County (RAAC) and to allow opportunity for comments by the other taxing bodies and the proposed developer that will be participating in the tax increment financing plan. In addition, the hearing will allow opportunity for comments by the general public on the concept of tax increment financing, on the proposed amendment of the tax increment district and its boundaries, on the proposed amendment to the project plan for the district, and on the benefits to the County. Individuals wishing to speak must register in advance in accordance with the rules governing public comment at Council meetings.

The hearing shall be scheduled to occur on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at 6:00 pm in the 4th Floor Gold Room of the Allegheny County Court House, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219. The hearing shall be conducted in accordance with the Tax Increment Financing Act of July 11,1990, P.L. 465 No. 113 (Act). The Chief Clerk is authorized and directed to advertise the same. In accordance with Council's Rules, the following members of Council are committed to attending the hearing: Council Member Eileen Watt, Council Member Tom Shumaker, Council Member Jan Rea, and Council Vice President Wayne Fontana.
