Proclamation celebrating the unveiling of the new Brentwood landmark, the Brentwood Clock.

WHEREAS, on December 15, 2008, the Brentwood Business Owners Association will unveil a new landmark in Brentwood Borough, Pennsylvania; and

 

WHEREAS, the Brentwood Clock is a 15-foot, four-sided clock painted in Brentwood Blue and features the words “Founded in 1915,” as well as the date of the dedication and the Brentwood Business Owners Association logo; and

 

WHEREAS, funding for the clock was made possible by the fundraising efforts of the Brentwood Business Owners Association and community development grant money made available by Pennsylvania State Senator Wayne Fontana and State Representative Harry Readshaw; and

 

WHEREAS, located on Brownsville Road, the clock will serve as a beautiful landmark that will undoubtedly become a part of Brentwood's history; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the dedication ceremony will be attended by local and state legislators, local business owners, and citizens alike, all of who recognize the importance of this momentous occasion;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council joins with the Brentwood Business Owners Association in celebration of the unveiling of the Brentwood Clock.  Furthermore, we thank you for your continued commitment to making Brentwood Borough a more beautiful place to live.
