Proclamation honoring Mr. Jim Hannan on his distinguished service as President of the Allegheny County Boroughs Association.

WHEREAS, Jim Hannan, the outgoing president of the Allegheny County Boroughs Association, is completing his third term as a member of the Council of the Municipality of Bethel Park; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hannon has been a member of numerous civic and community boards and activities while serving as a councilman. He has introduced a strong government presence within the community by the many positive results achieved within the Bethel Park area; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hannan has served on the Allegheny County Boroughs Association's Board of Directors for the past eight years and has also been a voting delegate for the organization; and
WHEREAS, the distinctive leadership displayed by Mr. Hannan as head of the association is to be commended. Continually hosting representatives of the State Association of Boroughs from Harrisburg, Mr. Hannan ensures statewide news is presented to the local organization to maintain a broad perspective of what may effect our communities; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hannan has demonstrated dedication to his community throughout many endeavors. Graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's and master's degree in civil engineering, he currently serves as the general manager of the West Mifflin Sanitary Sewer Municipal Authority;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, hereby commends Jim Hannan on his distinguished service to his community and the County of Allegheny. Furthermore, we hope other leaders will follow Mr. Hannan's outstanding example when serving our great county.
