This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Edith Mazzuco Reid upon the momentous occasion of her 103rd birthday. Ms. Reid was born on April 20, 1911 in Pelos, Italy. She came to the United States through Ellis Island when she was 6 years old. She married Forest W. Reid and together they had a daughter, Carolyn Reid Grimm. Ms. Reid lived in the Christy Park section of McKeesport and worked at Crown Chocolate and at Ohringers and Ruben's Furniture. Ms. Reid traveled extensively to her native country to oversee the harvesting of trees on her family's property to be used for lumber. She is the proud grandparent of two grandchildren, Cynthia and Cara, and of three great-grandchildren, Thomas, Eliza and Chase. We honor Ms. Reid for her longevity, which can be attributed to her positive attitude and outlook. Furthermore, we commend Ms. Reid for her independent spirit, taking a proactive approach to life, and we wish her the best as she celebrates her 103rd birthday.
