Whereas, the County, through the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, is desirous of submitting a grant application to the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission (MPOETC); and

Whereas, a formal resolution of the County is necessary to apply for and to receive a MPOETC grant; and

Whereas, as a condition for receipt of a training grant, MPOETC requires all applicants to agree to adhere to the rules, regulations and training standards established by MPOETC.


The Council of Allegheny County hereby resolves as follows:

Section 1. The County of Allegheny, acting by and through the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, is authorized to apply for and to accept a grant from MPOETC.

Section 2. The County of Allegheny and the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office hereby agrees that while receiving any funds from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania pursuant to Act 120 of 1974 it shall adhere to the rules, regulations and training standards established by MPOETC.

Section 3. If any provision of this Resolution shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Resolution which shall be in full force and effect.

Section 4. Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
