An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing the acceptance of a donation of personal property from the Dayle Kendall.

                     Whereas, Dayle Kendall has offered to donate, for use by the Allegheny County Police, a 5 year old palomino; and

 

                     Whereas, the Allegheny County Police have had the animal examined by a veterinarian, and the horse has been found to be in excellent health; and

 

Whereas, the Allegheny County Police recommend acceptance of said proposed personal property; and

 

                     Whereas, Article IV, Sections 2.j. of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests the County Council with the power to accept personal property on behalf of the County.

 

The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:

 

SECTION 1.                     Incorporation of the Preamble

 

The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference as set forth in their entirety herein.

 

Section 2.  Acceptance of a Donation of Personal Property

 

                     County Council does hereby authorize the Allegheny County Police Department on behalf of Allegheny County to accept the donation of “Oh Henry”, a 5 year old palomino from Dayle Kendall for use by the Allegheny County Police.  Additional information may be found in attachment “A”.

 

Section 3.  Severability.   If any provision of this Ordinance shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, which shall be in full force and effect.

Section 4. Repealer.   Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
