Keystone Oaks High School

This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ethan Plummer, a senior at Keystone Oaks High School, in recognition of his efforts to develop a local chapter of the Gay-Straight Alliance at his school.  The Gay-Straight Alliance, a student-led organization that helps kids fight harassment and asks teachers to declare their classrooms as “safe zones,” has grown to include a membership of more than 40 students.  As a result, these students have created an awareness of the negative consequences of bullying and have encouraged a more open-minded and nurturing environment for their fellow classmates.  On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we wish to recognize you for your commitment to protecting students from the harmful consequences of bullying.  You have proven yourself to be a true leader among your peers, and we wish you the best of luck in what will certainly be a bright future.
