This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to the distinguished honorees at the 2008 YWCA Racial Justice Awards in recognition of their demonstrated commitment to making lasting contributions to the Pittsburgh area by helping to eliminate racial inequity in everyday life.  Each year, the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations in the categories of Community Engagement, Company/Business, Education, Faith, Government, Legal, and Public Safety, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award.  This year's awardees include Dr. Kimberly C. Ellis, the One Hill Community Benefit Agreement Coalition, Daniel M.Rooney, Reaching Inside Your Soul for Excellence, the Reverend Glenn G. Grayson, Tamiko L. Stanley, Marlene H. Ellis, Brenda Tate, and Ralph Proctor, Ph.D.  On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we hereby commend the 2008 Racial Justice Award honorees for their outstanding commitment to eradicating racial inequity in Allegheny County and throughout the world.
