Proclamation celebrating Father Dennis Colamarino's 25th anniversary of service to the Catholic Church of Duquesne.

WHEREAS, on June 29, 1983, Father Dennis Colamarino began his priestly service to the Catholic Church of Duquesne; and

                     

WHEREAS, for the past 25 years, Father Colamarino has faithfully served in a number of positions throughout the Parish, including as Parochial Vicar of Holy Name, Pastor of Holy Name, Administrator of St. Hedwig, Pastor of Christ the Light of the World, Administrator of St. Joseph, and Pastor of  St. Joseph; and

 

WHEREAS, on June 29, 2008, parishioners of the Christ the Light of the World Parish will gather to celebrate Father Colamarino's 25th anniversary of service; and

 

WHEREAS, the celebration will begin with a special concelebrated Mass in the Holy Name Church, presided and preached by Bishop David Zubik, followed immediately by a reception; and

 

WHEREAS, the celebration will continue with a banquet at the Sheraton Station Square that evening, which will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dancing, with music provided by We Three;

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Allegheny County Council  congratulates Father Dennis Colamarino on his 25th anniversary of service to the Catholic Church of Duquesne.  On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we thank you for your commitment to providing your parishioners with spiritual guidance and for remaining steadfast in your dedication to the Catholic Church of Duquesne.
