Proclamation recognizing UPMC Passavant Hospital for their participation in the 13th Annual North Hills Festival of Lights.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Carlos T. Carter has exemplified the definition of a dedicated citizen of our great County with his demonstration of civic and community leadership; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Carter graduated in 1992 from the Community College of Allegheny County, and he is now a member of the college's Diversity Advisory Board; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Carter worked diligently to support his family while attending a number of higher educational organizations, and his proactive approach to education and to family life is outstanding and commendable. By understanding this role, Mr. Carter now serves as a CLAY Program Mentor for Perry Traditional Academy and as a Financial Literacy Instructor for Urban Youth Action. Mr. Carter also serves on the Board of Directors of Holy Family Institute and his family has acted as a host family for children in need; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Carter is also a member of Ambridge, Pennsylvania's Community Council and of Ambridge's Concerned Parents and Community Members organization, where he shares insight to community affairs;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council, on behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, recognizes Carlos T. Carter, a 1992 graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County, for serving the county proactively and honorably. Furthermore, his fine leadership should be adopted by residents of the county for the betterment of our community.
