An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, permitting PGH Productions, Inc., to use certain County-owned real property in connection with filming a motion picture.

Whereas, PGH Productions, Inc., plans to film a motion picture in Allegheny County; and
Whereas, PGH Productions, Inc., has requested to use certain County-owned real property situate in and around the Allegheny County Courthouse and the Allegheny County Jail in connection with filming a motion picture;
Whereas, the County has negotiated an agreement with PGH Productions, Inc., which will govern PGH Productions, Inc.'s uses of County-owned property and will provide specific protections for the County as a result thereof; and
Whereas, the County deems it in the public interest to permit PGH Productions, Inc. to use certain County-owned real property situate in and around the Allegheny County Courthouse and the Allegheny County Jail in connection with filming a motion picture, and
Whereas, Article IV, Section 2(k) of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests County Council with the power and duty by ordinance to lease or permit the use of County real estate property
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of the Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the Preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2. Authorization of a lease for the use of County Real Property.
Allegheny County Council hereby permits PGH Productions, Inc. to use certain County-owned real property situate in and around the Allegheny County Courthouse and the Allegheny County Jail in connection with filming a motion picture, pursuant to the terms of an agreement between PGH Productions, Inc. and the County.
