This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Helen R. Reed upon the momentous occasion of her 100th birthday. Helen was born on December 7, 1909 in Butler, Pennsylvania, and she has lived in many of Pittsburgh's colorful neighborhoods, including Glenwood, Oakland, Hazelwood, Greenfield, Squirrel Hill, West Mifflin and Baldwin. Helen is the head of a five-generation family that has included four children, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Throughout her lifetime, Helen devoted her efforts to serving and volunteering in our region. Her willingness to sacrifice for her community and for her family is a trait that this council looks upon with great admiration. We congratulate her on this impressive milestone, and on behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we wish her a joyous and healthy 100th year of life.
