Motion of the Council of Allegheny County pulling Bill No. 4162-08, governing lobbying activities by the County's authorities, from committee for an immediate final vote.

 

Body

                     WHEREAS, Bill No. 4162-08, governing lobbying activities by the County's authorities, was introduced and referred to the Committee on Government Reform on July 1, 2008, or 261 days prior to the introduction of this motion; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Bill No. 4162-08 has never been placed on the Committee's agenda for discussion, and it has not yet been released for a final vote by the full Council; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the Rules of Allegheny County Council, Article IV, Section B.1., allow for bills to be pulled from committee by the vote of a simple majority if such motion is made after sixty (60) days from the date of the first reading of the bill;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,

 

That this Council hereby pulls Bill No. 4162-08 from the Committee on Budget and Finance and authorizes an immediate final vote on the bill.
