Allegheny County Council is proud to present this Certificate of Recognition to Wexford Elementary School and the entire Wexford Elementary School community for helping to collect and send shoes to less fortunate children in Iraq.  Wexford Elementary's 2^nd and 3^rd grade Student Outreach Group and their families successfully collected approximately 500 pairs of shoes for the U.S. Army Multi-National Division Center-South's effort with the Polish Public Affairs office to provide new and used shoes to Iraqi children.  This distinguished endeavor and accomplishment is worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County.  Your achievement has set a high standard of commitment and dedication which the youth of our great County of Allegheny may follow and serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
