This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Greg Gurcak of Boy Scout Troop 338 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. This Council commends Mr. Gurcak's diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project, Mr. Gurcak led a team of volunteers to sew old blankets and used sleeping bags into 25 homemade sleeping bag quilts, which he presented to Operation Safety Net, a nonprofit that helps the homeless in Allegheny County. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Gurcak has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
