Proclamation recognizing and commending Bethel Bakery on its continuing achievement in providing exceptional service to Bethel Park and the surrounding communities.
Body
WHEREAS, since being founded in 1955 by Morris and Anna Walsh, Bethel Bakery has been a fixture within the Bethel Park community, serving patrons without so much as changing locations since 1958; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of consistently providing the highest level of service and outstanding quality, Bethel Bakery has become woven into the fabric of many south hills communities, and is beloved by countless area residents; and
WHEREAS, at a time in which virtually every product seems to be mass-produced, Bethel Bakery has remained true to its heritage, and maintains a large staff of bakers and decorators that enable it to create handmade baked goods that are truly unique for its customers; and
WHEREAS, the Walsh family continue the legacy of Morris Walsh by operating Bethel Bakery, honoring his lifetime of devotion to the family's business by attempting to follow his example of selfless dedication to his craft and service to his customers; and
WHEREAS, throughout the course of its 50 years in business, Bethel Bakery has helped individuals and families celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, graduations and weddings and, in the process, has endeared itself to generations of customers and established itself as a local institution; and
WHEREAS, Bethel Bakery will celebrate it's 50th Anniversary in September 2005;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council recognizes and commends Bethel Bakery on its continuing achievement in providing exceptional service to Bethel Park and the surrounding communities. Bethel Bakery's adaptability to changing consumer demands and ingenuity in developing new products over the course of a half century is truly remarkable, and its capacity to successfully compete with other bakeries stands as a silent but eloquent...
