Proclamation congratulating Reverend James Holland as the new pastor of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church.

WHEREAS, on Saturday, December 13, 2014, a Pastoral Installation Service will be held at the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Russellton, Pennsylvania to welcome Reverend James Holland as the church's new pastor; and
 
WHEREAS, Rev. Holland understands the importance of education, having earned his Master of Divinity degree from Saint Vincent Seminary in May 1997 and his Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh in April 1992; and  
 
WHEREAS, Rev. Holland, a Registered Nurse and a Board Certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, has worked at Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center, UPMC Mercy Hospital, UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, McKeesport Hospital, and as a Chief Flight Nurse for the Center for Emergency Medicine; and
 
WHEREAS, after faithful service as a Parochial Vicar at St. Anne Parish in Castle Shannon, Rev. Holland became West Penn Hospital's Chaplain; thereafter, he served as the Parochial Vicar for St. Sebastian Parish in Ross Township and St. Margaret Mary Parish in Moon Township. In September 2012, Rev. Holland joined the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church as an Administrator, handling the pastoral care of 1,300 individuals and serving as the on-call Chaplain to UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital;  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Reverend James Holland as the new pastor of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church. We wish Father Holland, the Church and its congregation continued blessings and express the pride Allegheny County takes in the Church's contributions and services to all citizens of Allegheny County.
