Proclamation recognizing Chief Chris Kelly for his years of service to the Baldwin Police Department

 

Body

[WHEREAS, Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have been blessed with exemplary leaders who have made invaluable contributions to our communities and our County; and

 

                     WHEREAS, Baldwin Police Chief Chris Kelly began his career in law enforcement with the Borough of Homestead in 1974, and quickly moved to the role of Chief in only 6 years; and

                     

WHEREAS, in 1988, Chief Kelly was hired as Police Chief for Baldwin, where he has faithfully served for the past 20 years; and

 

WHEREAS, in addition to his work with the Baldwin Police Department, Chief Kelly has also been involved in a joint effort with a group of South Hills police chiefs who work through the South Hills Council of Governments on joint purchasing, training, and funding; and

 

WHEREAS, Chief Kelly is also a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Allegheny County Council wishes to recognize Chris Kelly as he retires from his post as Baldwin Police Chief.  We thank you for your years of dedicated service to protecting the residents of Allegheny County and we wish you success in your future pursuits.
