This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Daniel Bryan Weight of Boy Scout Troop 854 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting; less than 2 percent of all male youth are able to earn this rank. Mr. Weight has met all necessary requirements in areas of Leadership, Service and Outdoor Skills to advance to the Eagle Scout rank. This Council commends Mr. Weight’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to our community. For his leadership service project, Daniel built a new cross to replace an old one, with recessed shelving used to hold flowers for Easter services at the Verona Presbyterian Church. The old cross stood while being supported with cables to the ceiling. Daniel’s replacement is a free-standing structure and does not require ceiling support. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Weight has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
