This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Mr. Michael Bartoldi for his efforts to raise money in order to help local elementary students afflicted with autism. A recent graduate of Shaler Area High School, Mr. Bartoldi's senior project involved selling raffle tickets over a period of a few months, from which he raised an astounding $4,000. The money, which was donated to Marzolf Elementary School, will provide autistic students with a new machine that will be used in the school's sensory room. The machine uses a bubble column, lights, aromatherapy, and controlling colors to calm the students who experience rages as part of their disorder, providing the learning support teachers with better opportunities to create a safe, productive learning environment. On behalf of the residents of Allegheny County, we recognize and congratulate Mr. Michael Bartoldi for this outstanding achievement and we wish you continued success in your future endeavors.
