Proclamation awarded to Jefferson United Presbyterian Church upon the momentous occasion of their 150^th Anniversary.

Body

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed to have individuals and organizations, such as Jefferson United Presbyterian Church located in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, that significantly contribute to our quality of life; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson United Presbyterian Church was organized at a Session Meeting of the Mifflin Church on Friday, October 30, 1857; and

WHEREAS, Jefferson United Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 150^th Anniversary this year and will hold many events to celebrate this momentous occasion; and

WHEREAS, the congregation is committed to the community through its mission work; they are active with the Cloverleaf Food Bank and provide a service for the residents of the Lawson Nursing Home; and

WHEREAS, in honor of their 150th Celebration, special commemorative book marks have been placed on the pulpit and lectern and will remain there all year;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate the Jefferson United Presbyterian Church upon its 150^th Anniversary Celebration and we wish the organization continued success and growth.
