This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Jarred S. Barnes in recognition of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, scouting's most distinguished honor. Jarred is a senior at South Allegheny High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, president of SATV and TFIM and senior class treasurer, member of Student Council and the varsity baseball team. Outside of school Jarred is a Junior Councilman for Port Vue Borough, a member of the Port Vue Citizens Committee, an umpire for Port Vue Athletic Association and assistant coach for the South Allegheny Colts. This Council extends its deepest appreciation for your service to your community in which you improved the conditions of the Port Vue Athletic Association ball field complex by painting six dugouts, stenciling “Home” and “Visitors” on them, as well as an equipment building, batting cage, and clubhouse. In addition, minor repairs and weeding were done to improve the appearance of the facility. You have set a high standard of commitment and dedication which the youth of our great County of Allegheny may follow, and which serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
