Proclamation thanking Independence Middle School in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania for hosting their annual "Tribute to Our Troops" concert.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed to have individuals and organizations, such as Independence Middle School in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, that greatly enhance our quality of life; and
WHEREAS, on May 31, 2007, Independence Middle School will host its annual “Tribute to Our Troops” concert, a special event held during the week of Memorial Day, to honor and remember the lives of the men and women that have proudly served our great country; and
WHEREAS, the Independence Middle School students are to be commended for their work, talent and determination in organizing the “Tribute to Our Troops” concert;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Allegheny County Council does hereby recognize and thank the Independence Middle School and its students for holding the annual “Tribute to Our Troops” concert and for its impact on this community and its citizens. This Council appreciates the gift of music that the Independence Middle School students have shared to make the “Tribute to Our Troops” event extraordinary, serving as a shining example to the youth of our County of Allegheny and to all.
