Motion of the Council of Allegheny County accepting the communication from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center dated December 15, 2009, regarding UPMC Braddock Hospital.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY, that Allegheny County Council accepts the communication from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center dated December 15, 2009, (attached hereto as Exhibit "A") and accepts UPMC's commitment to continue to work with the regions elected officials and community economic development groups; donate the facility for a purpose that would advance the community's economic future; secure and appropriately maintain for the immediate future as alternate uses for the building are explored; keep the equipment not directly related to the delivery of the patient care in the facility; and any and all further commitments negotiated by UPMC and Allegheny County.
