This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Bernard and Anna Taylor upon the momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were united in marriage on February 7, 1959. The Taylors have been Pittsburgh residents for 40 years. A graduate of Fifth Avenue High School, Mr. Taylor is a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and retiree from the U.S. Postal Service. Throughout his employment career, he had been employed by the Veterans' Administration, Forbes Field, and Three Rivers Stadium. As a devoted Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan, he currently works at both PNC Park and Heinz Field. Mrs. Taylor attended school in Sylacauga, Alabama before coming to Pittsburgh to raise her family. She worked for the Allegheny County Housing Authority and the former Equibank (now National City). She has provided care to many children over the years. They are the proud parents of six children, Victor, Carson, Bernard, Randall, Callen, and Derek and the proud grandparents of ten grandchildren. Your commitment to each other and dedication to your family serves as an inspiration to this Council and the citizens of Allegheny County.
