50th Anniversary

This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Tumac's Covers upon the occasion of its 50th anniversary in business.  Started in 1958 by Elmer “Mac” McCall and the late Larry “Mac” McGovern, Tumac's Covers was named in honor of the two “Macs” who founded it.  When the business opened, it made and sold tarps, house awnings, laundry supplies, and boat covers.  During the 1970s, the company changed its focus to selling primarily boating products, but still offered its customers a variety of tarps, bags, and truck bucket covers.  Due to a high demand for boat covers from a major supplier, Tumac's Covers was able to open a second location in Elkhart, Indiana in 2006.  Tumac's Covers will celebrate its anniversary by handing out commemorative canvas bags at the 2008 Pittsburgh Boat Show, to be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.  Allegheny County Council congratulates and recognizes you upon this happy occasion and we wish you all the best in the future.
